Broken Hill screened at two film festivals in Hawaii this month and received high honors at both.

- The Big Island Film Festival awarded Broken Hill ‘Best Foreign Feature’.
Held from May 12-16, 2010, this marks the fifth year of Big Island Film Festival. This “Talk Story” film festival is a celebration of independent narrative filmmakers and their short and feature films.
Movies, special events, Hawaiian culture, Hawaiian music, wrapped into the Spirit of Aloha makes the Talk Story film festival a premiere event on the beautiful Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island.
- The Honolulu Film Awards awarded Broken Hill the ‘Silver Lei’.
The Honolulu Film Awards is a crossroads of the world, bridging the gap between East and West and held annually on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii.
