Christian Movie Review - Joshua (2002) G
"This movie starts out a little slow but has a great message...And while not biblically accurate, the film is a wonderful representation of Jesus' love and concern for people. I have watched this movie several times only to find additional pearls woven into the movie fabric...
Don't let the critics make you set this movie back on the shelf. Joshua is a fine film with a cadre of stars sure to engage the whole family. I give it 4 of 5 stars."

Based on the best-selling novel by Joseph Girzone that touched the lives of millions, Joshua is an inspirational story about a stranger whose mysterious "supernatural" powers inspire a small town.
When Joshua moves to the outskirts of Auburn, he awakens the curiousty of the sleepy town and teaches the essence of community and charity. No one knows who he is or where he came from, but no one can shake the feeling that they've known him for years. His wisdom and compassion place him at the center of the town's attention.
Despite his benevolence and selfless work in the community, some remain suspicious. There are some who fear that no one in today's world would do something for nothing.
With a list of stars including Tony Goldwyn, F. Murray Abraham and Giancarlo Giannini the acting and production quality of this film surpass credible which is rare for many small budget films in this category.
